He did not have a pair to
score a goal. He used to inspire his teammates to do better with that. Real
Madrid miss Cristiano Ronaldo's role in the team, said the team's midfielder
Luca Madrich. |
Ronaldo signed for Serie A champions Juventus in July 2016 for a transfer fee of 112 million euros, ending a long nine-year career for Real.
Ronaldo has won numerous titles for Real, including four Champions Leagues
and two La Liga titles. Portugal captain Santiago Bernabeu, who has scored a
record 450 goals in the club's history in all competitions, won the Footballer
of the Year award four times while he was at the Bernabeu.
Ronaldo was instrumental in Real's hat-trick of Champions League titles.
The team exited the last sixteen of the competition the following season after
his departure.
Madrid team is not in a very good position in this year's edition of the
best competition in Europe. They lost 2-1 at home to Manchester City in the
first leg of the last 16 before the season was postponed due to coronavirus.
Madrid won the award in 2016, breaking the decades-long dominance of
Ronaldo and Lionel Messi in the fight to be named Footballer of the Year. In an
interview with Gazzetta dello Sport on Monday, the Croatian star praised his
one-time teammate.
"Ronaldo is one of the best of all time. We miss his goal and
inspiring role. Cristiano always wants to win. He would inspire us and bring
out the best. ”
“As a human being he is ten out of ten. He has a big heart and is always ready
to help everyone in time of need. ”
The 34-year-old Madrid also talked about his plans. His contract with the
Santiago Bernabeu team will expire at the end of the 2020-21 season. This is
where he wants to end his career. Then try to establish yourself as a coach.
"I believe I will be able to play at the highest level for two more
years or more. Then we will see what the situation is. I want to end my career
at Real, but it depends on the club. "
