Most Google employees do not want to come to the office every day

Google is rethinking its long-term job opportunities. The search engine giant is reconsidering that most employees do not want to return to full-time office.

A recent Google survey found that 82 percent of Google employees want to return to the office at some point, but not every day.

In an interview with Time magazine on Wednesday, Sundar Pichai, head of the company, said that Google is working on a 'hybrid' model. The company is also reorganizing the office and planning more long-term work from home.

"I see the future becoming more flexible," Pichai said. We believe that it is very important to be together and have a social feeling when you have to solve difficult problems and create something new. We don't see any change in that. But we think we need to move to a more flexible and hybrid model. ”

Google has begun offering more detailed plans on how to get workers back to work after the coronavirus epidemic. At the beginning of the summer, search engine giant US has announced that it will give employees the opportunity to work from home till July 2021.

Facebook has given a similar deadline for working from home. And the micro-blogging site Twitter is giving employees the opportunity to work from home for the rest of their lives.

According to the survey, 10 percent of workers said they would never want to work in an office in the future. In May, the number of employees was 20 percent. Fifteen percent of employees said they only want to come to the office at certain events.

The survey also found that employees want to return to the office because of face-to-face conversations with colleagues, increased socialization, and better opportunities to work together.
